The District Rotabowl 06 opened with a big “bang” last January 22, 2006 to the beat of the Ati-Atihan and the Dragon Dance. A total of 34 teams participated this year with 500 registered players. Some 800 Rotarians with their families attended the Opening Ceremonies. District Governor Benjie Bacorro, with PDG Danny Reyes, DGE Dan Espinosa, AG Alex Cureg, CP Mon Matabang and RC Roosevelt President Renne Isidro, tossed the Ceremonial ball to signal the start of the tournament. The championship game will be on March 19. The Best in Uniform and Most Colorful Teams Awards went to the Rotary Club of Eastwood; Best Muse award to the Rotary Club of South Triangle; and Best in Attendance to RC Murphy.
